I'm Alex Nazaruk.
You may remember me from such headlines as: "Where did that man go with my baby?" and "Who's that rustling in the bushes?"
No... but seriously, I love music and have found a love in writing and performing since childhood. The only problem with that is the fact that life keeps going even if you want to pull out the tools of the trade and build something beautiful.
What I'm trying to say is that I don't have time to do as much writing, performing and gigging as I once did. Which is very sad. Nevertheless, I still get time to lay down a track on the odd weekend or two, which makes me very happy!
I like collaborating with anyone I can get to join me, and have even managed a couple of studio sessions alongside a very brill guy... namely Mr. Apache Indian (if you don't know him, hit the googlebox, worth your time).
I was one of the founding members of a local Derby band named Edison which lasted from 2004 to 2009, during which time we enjoyed winning a Battle of the Bands Tournament (we came first out of like 35 bands, some of them established and quite well known), playing on the open air stage of the Y-Not Festival (very muddy), and even some radio play/interviews.
Enough of the soppy good ol' days, like I said, I still like to write and have quite a catalog of material sat around now.
If ya get chance have a listen and let me know what you think (always nice to hear an opinion on something you've accomplished, even if its not favorable). Or If any of you guys want to work together on something or fancy a jam if you're anywhere near Derby.... drop me a line.
Nice one bruvva!
