Orfeus Records, a Canadian World Music independent Label presents El KadySami
a duo of authors-composers, musicians and singers.
Their repertoire travels from Folk to Jazz, flowing through African-beat, Samba, Bossa, Blues and Latin rhythms enriched by diverse poetic languages.
In 2000, Ricardo Pellegrin El Kady & Samireceived the gold medal as best authors-composers
for the « World Music » category at the great international contest « SONG EXPO Benelux International » - Netherlands - among more than 1000 participants from 57 countries.

April 2008: El KadySami received an "Honorable Mention" Award from "Song of the Year" - USA.

July 28, 2008: "Honorable mention" from the "15th Annual Billboard World Songwriting Contest"

Sept. 08: El KadySami are Semi-finalists, among over 6,200 songwriters, at the
“UK Songwriting Contest 2008” with 3 songs: “Ilha dos Amores” “Stand by your Dream” “A Quiet Place” . Also, 2 other songs were received as “Commended entries: “Walk Together” & “I’ll Show You”.

May 2009: World Music Top 20 Finalist at the "12th Annual Unisong International Music Contest"- USA - LA . A "Certificate of Achievement" was awarded to the author-composer El Kady.
