Trumpeter Bijon Watson from Sharon, Massachusetts and Bass Trombonist Chris Creswell from Jacksonville, Florida met as members of the 1994 Disney All-American College Band, and the 1995 Disney-Grammy All-American Jazz Band. The two have remained friends and colleagues ever since, and with the addition of Keyboardist/Composer Carlos Ordiano from Santa Ana, California; the Groove Revolution was formed. The Groove Revolution’s unique sound can only be described as an eclectic fusion of Jazz, Rock, Funk and R&B. The members of the Groove Revolution are a veritable “who’s who” of the recording, television, and live performance scene in the Southern California and Northern Florida regions. Bijon Watson on Trumpet and Flugelhorn: Bijon has toured with Eric Benet, the Clayton-Hamilton Jazz Orchestra, Diana Krall, Michael Bolton, Harry Connick, Jr., and the funk band "Cameo" to name a few. He has performed on episodes of “American Idol” and “Dancing With The Stars”, and has recorded with Diana Krall, Mariah Carey, John Pizzarelli, Queen Latifah, and Michael Buble and many more.
Chris Creswell on Bass Trombone: Chris is an accomplished trombonist and composer who most recently had a commissioned work performed at the Jacksonville Jazz Fest in 2008. Chris has recorded and/or performed with many of today's top pop and jazz artists including Mariah Carey, John Pizzarelli, Arturo Sandoval, Ramsey Lewis, Herbie Hancock and Dianne Reeves.
Carlos Ordiano on Piano and Keyboards: Carlos is an accomplished pianist, keyboardist, and composer who is one of the most sought after arrangers and performers in Southern California. Carlos has performed with the Jazz On The Latin Side All-Stars, jazz vocalist Barbara Morrison, and Sax great Eric Marienthal.
Jeff Askew on Guitar: Jeff is one of the most active freelance musicians throughout LA and Orange County, Jeff has had the opportunity to share the stage with David Foster, Engelbert Humperdinck, Jim Belushi, Regis Philban, Susan Lucci, Kristin Chenoweth, Eric Marienthal.
Rene Camacho on Bass: Rene is one of the most sought after bass players on the scene today. He has recorded with the Jazz On The Latin Side All-Stars, Poncho Sanchez, Dizzy Gillespie and Don Grusin to name a few.
Felix “D-Kat” Pollard on Drums: Felix ‘D-Kat’ Pollard is a drummer whose propulsive style and versatility have enabled him to play alongside some of the greatest musicians in the world. His roster includes Lionel Richie, Anastacia, Shelia E., George Duke, Chaka Kahn, The Staple Singers, Jessica Simpson, Brian Culbertson, Phil Upchurch, Clay Aikens, Taylor Hicks, and a host of others.
