The Success of "Metro (feat. Samurai MX)"
In the past 2 weeks, there have been a few developments with the exposure that "Metro (feat. Samurai MX)" has received, which is kinda surreal, since I didn't expect this song to go anywhere. Here's the latest news:

1. It's currently featured in the latest podcast from Electronica Music Lovers, a social network for fans and artists founded by U.K. electronic artist Electromagnetic Impulses. You can visit the site and listen to the podcast at http://electronicamusiclovers.ning.com.

2. It's currently playing on Jango, one of the leading internet radio sites, and it's very close to being put into general rotation. You can visit the site and listen to "Metro" at http://www.jango.com/music/J+Whitman.

3. I've been asked to submit it for entry into the Independent Music Awards for Best Song (Dance/Electronica). The entry is currently on its way to the host of the program.

What I've noticed with this song is that my solo project has gone full circle in 2 years (I started writing my own music in 2007, and "Metro" was the first song I wrote with my best friend), and that's pretty fast compared to most artists that take several years to receive this kind of exposure (unless you shell out enough money at the right people, then you move much faster than I do). Still, this is an interesting experience to be having some success from my own endeavor for the first time. God has certainly blessed me within the past year, and will continue to do so for the rest of my career.
