feeling cranky today
Is it just me or are the artists in the Gimmesound top 40 a little safe and boring? And that seti alpha five are pulling off what anyone on the street with a decent vst could do? And I'm not sore cos i dont get a lot of downloads, i just think the masses need to go outside their comfort zones and the popular genres when it comes to listening to and supporting music. they might be surprised by what they find and maybe the avant garde and the just plain offbeat can become a big part of our culture again.
I'm not saying get rid of your soft, feel good music, or that im even talented enough yet to pull off what i preach, just that you gimmesounders, and everyone else shouldnt be afraid to move beyond the realms of soft indie rock and the like.
