The Cumberland Trio is a prominent folk/bluegrass/Americana band that originated in the '60's folk era and reunited in 2001 with a vengeance after a hiatus of almost 40 years! The Trio recorded a debut LP The Cumberland Trio in 1964 at RCA Studio B in Nashville, TN produced by the legendary Chet Atkins. When the Trio reunited in 2001, the LP was remastered to CD and released to rave reviews.
Inspired by the success of the CD release of their debut 1964 RCA LP, the Trio reunited for two official Reunion Concerts in 2001 & 2004, both performed at the historic Bijou Theatre Centre in Knoxville ,TN. The concerts were recorded for both CD & DVD release and have been hailed by many folk authorities as two of the best Reunion Concerts ever performed in any genre.
The Cumberland Trio's members are Jerre Haskew, Andy Garverick & Tom Kilpatrick, all solo & harmony vocalists & multi-instrumentalists on acoustic guitar, banjo, autoharp & mandolin.
