BIO
Veneration cascaded into the dawn of 2009 under the name 'Carpe Diem' with a riff that united minds, united souls. Rather than conform to the gauche rules of society the way everyone around them was, Eddy Sash(Vocals) and Nikhil Singh(Lead Guitar) decided to create their own world, a world where rock was the government, rock was the people, and metal was the sky. So with a little creativity, a little apathy and a shitload of boredom, they created a song called 'Paradox Paradise' and recorded it the same weekend using mechanised drums and no layering. A simple riff and simple lyrics transformed the lives of those two individuals, not to mention the fact that they had stolen the beat from a well known audioslave song's guitar pro tab. The song, despite its simplicity, was a successful platform for future establishment. After recording another song, the band found a drummer in Marlvin Kevin. This was hard at first, as the guitarist and vocalist were at boarding school while Marlvin was a daily at the same school, but eventually they began to fall into routine, bunking classes to play music etc. The school was such a boring, controlled and shitty environment that the band couldn't find a gig to play. Nick began to go to Eddy's room and work on songs with him all night long and eventually they crafted a masterpiece - City Of The Frozen Throne. This and Keep On Rocking (The second recorded song) were played live by the band at a school festival with just under an hour and a half of practice. This saw the recruitment of rhythm guitarist Zoe Siddique. After a few more songs and months, Nick found (then a stranger) Ani Rag on the band's facebook fan list, and was happy to see a 'Six Feet Under' display picture, consequentially adding him as a friend. He turned out to be a bassist and so the two met eventually and discussed terms, where Ani brought his friend Rohan "Rhino Roe" Ganguly. This saw the line-up that played live at Barista on mosque road in bangalore. Sadly, after this endeavor, Eddy had to return to Nepal, his homeland and now the band is without a vocalist, although the search is on. We sold our soul for rock n roll, might as well make the sale worthwhile.
